By providing hope and positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in kids.

The Optimist Club of Greater Vienna, part of Optimist International, is a 100% volunteer Community Service organization. The Club conducts positive service projects in local communities aimed at providing a helping hand to youth including special programs and scholarships. We also organize and run the Vienna Farmers Market, Annual Christmas Tree Fundraiser, and provide tours to our local Caboose. With their upbeat attitude, Optimist Club members help empower young people to be the best that they can be. Every year, Optimists around the world conduct 65,000 service projects and serve well over six million young people.

- Viva Vienna (May 24th - May 26th) Optimist Activities

The Optimist Club of Greater Vienna will have both the Farmers Market (May 24th) and the Caboose tours (May 24-26th) during Viva Vienna! Come on down on Saturday between 8 AM and 12 PM to see our 27 vendors, both new and old (See more about our vendors here). And as we do every year, the Caboose will be open 1-5PM every day of Viva Vienna for you to tour! Come in and ask our "conductors" about the history of the caboose.

- Helping Hands Award Winners!

The Optimists present annual "Helping Hands" awards to local elementary schools in the name of sixth grade students who have been nominated by their teachers for going above and beyond to help their friends, school, or community in a special way. This year's winners were Grace Cavitt, McKenna Lyon, Amalie Khawaja, Dara-Abasi Isaac, Ella Conway, Chloe Warner, Isabella Harrington, Emily Bacon, Leonela Oxendine, Caitlin Walsh, and Niko Boosalis. Congratulations!!!
